Have you tried to do it without MBAM? Or at least disabling all MBAM functions? It may narrow down the cause of problem and find out is it MBAM fault or something else :)

Sorry for the late reply :)

    Let me check..
EDIT: Found it at platomav's github repos.
I'll wait for a week and see if the newer ones are causing any issues publicly only then I'll update the uCodes. I'll testing on my Ivybridge,Broadwell and skylake PCs.

It is nearly all made for newer CPU's from 8th gen and up and some of the xeons too :) Skylake 6700HQ have the same uCode version C6 :)

    This is a test microcode...

Just to see if it is working or not.. please report if you face any issues :)

Just simply run install.bat file [better to be as an administrator] and then reboot :) and check your uCode or Microcode is updated or not through HWInfo ;)

    Download link:- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZszPmfnItflNpLOyQN3Rf03aVpbeQCvA

It is working with me... my CPU previous microcode or uCode was version C6 now I'm on.. CA:cool: I will report after 2 or 3 days with this new uCode ;)
    upload_2019-3-30_1-28-19.png

    Edit...
I think I have officially beat Intel on this... I can go over the limit of my 6700HQ while using 2 cores now!!
    upload_2019-3-30_1-30-47.png

I don't know but depending to what I see from HWInfo CPU clock reporting... I can see Core 0 & Core 1 are using OC frequencies on 2 physical cores!!

I crossed the BCLK limit barrier which is the hard limit of 102.7Mhz BCLK... now it is.... 107.9Mhz BCLK OC!!

It is better to pull the link down because I don't know how it'll react when Windows spectre protection is enabled.
Not even intel has posted new ucode fixes. Ubuntu team are testing the new patches for 19.04 and initially marked it as unstable because most older ucodes are deprecated in favor of new ones and the version is a big jump from older versions.
I hope you've updated the MEI FW to latest 11.8.3561 and you can slight speedup in BCLK.

Already on the latest MEI FW 11.8.3561 long time ago ;) well.. that's why I said this is a test microcode or uCode in the first place... until further notice :) once everything is officially approved or Linux got it approved and not causing any problems or issues... I will update my main post ;)

How and where did you set 107.9 bclk in bios or in xtu or where. Did you made some more mods to me fw or bios?
I am still hard limited to 102.98 on my Kaby and I am courious.
didn't try new ucode yet. but I will report as soon as I made some testings with AE ucode for Kaby.
I am also on the same ME FW as you for a Long time

all through XTU ... :) didn't do any thing new with my ME FW except it was updated to 11.8.3561 but that was long time ago... my BIOS doesn't have any kind of OC menus since my Laptop isn't designed for OC at all :D

I tried to change ucode from 8e using your updated tool to AE but no luck..

I uninstaled ucode 8e then restart so my system was back to ucode 84, then tried your tool 2.1.7 but no change in ucode.

Could you take a look?? My CPU ID is 000906E9 and according to this repository https://github.com/platomav/CPUMicrocodes/tree/master/Intel
    it should change to AE

You can try new ME FW which is avalible on winraid forum.
    Intel CSME 11.8 Consumer PCH-H D,A Firmware v11.8.65.3572

Btw. I am still not able to go higher than 102.98 bclk on latest ucode with xtu.
If you can and have time I could make for you a full dump of my bios so you could take a look if you have me fw configured in a different way than mine?

    20190402_212901-001.jpg

Yes.. give me your full BIOS dump.. I might try a few things but you know the consequences :) ME FW is modded or configured to have full BCLK range.. it is the reason that I got to 107.9Mhz ;) but more than that.. I get sudden shutdown as if you unplugged it and it never boots back on... needs to reflash SPI BIOS full to revive my laptop :)

@6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 Looks like Intel has uploaded initial Spoiler uCodes for some CPUs in their site but I get directed to txt file instead of tgz file. Ubuntu Team tested it on 19.04 and issued an immediate update while other branches are yet to receive. I installed it to see the perf. on ivybridge cpu with rev 25 ucode.

Thanks for reporting! :) yeah.. Intel sometimes does those tricks on there own website.. they got history about redirecting files to a blank or any .txt files...well.. still Intel didn't released the full family yet.. Skylake 506e3 is still on C6 ucode... not CA yet :) though CA uCode provided me the 107.9Mhz BCLK OC.. so I'm not willing to give up on that :D

Maybe Intel find out and didn't release it to the public

    Hi
Sorry for not responding to you for over two weeks but I didn't have time for nothing because of my work, phd, and kid.

If you still can look in my me fw config in my bios I will make a dump for you later today at night when I come back from work and I will send you this dump in private message.

Also about your CA ucode and 107.9 BCLK, So you didn't patch your bios with newer ucode, and you just update it via your tool in windows and changed BCLK in XTU?
If you were able to do this without patching your bios with CA ucode and directly from windows you need to have for sure some differences in ME FW config.

Also I want to ask you if you can prepare for me 2 new update tools with new uCODES for my Kaby to test?

First one that I found is 9A from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28727/Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-File and should be also avalible here: https://github.com/intel/Intel-Linux-Processor-Microcode-Data-Files which is dated 2019-03-12

Second one that I found and should be newer than 9a is B4 that is avalible here: https://github.com/platomav/CPUMicr...lat2A_ver000000B4_2019-04-01_PRD_DACDA920.bin which is dated 2019-04-01

Also did you try new CC ucode for your Skylake and bclk?

Thank you for your help and time.

    BR

They actually blocked the BCLK completely :( I can't even go 100Mhz BCLK... it reverts to 99.7Mhz BCLK :( yeah... back to CA :)
Yes.. I tested CC uCode.. They actually blocked the BCLK completely :( I can't even go 100Mhz BCLK... it reverts to 99.7Mhz BCLK :( yeah... back to CA :)

No problem at all :) hit me the full dump of your BIOS and I will provide you what you need (As long as I have free time :D ) and yes... I patch my BIOS directly with the microcode.. I only use the tool for testing purposes and if it is fine & without any issues.. I apply & patch directly to my BIOS [This is the time were I discovered I can go 107.9Mhz BCLK ;) ] :)

I never tried to actually see if the BCLK OC gonna stick through my tool though.. it never crossed my mind :D but great idea! I will test it through my tool on my free time ;)

Well, what do you know; I flashed CC to old bios and guess what, my PC bricked completely and had to use Ch341a to restore it and also needed CLRP1 shorting aka CMOS battery removal to restore BIOS. I had 7 beeps of Death on AW jokebook.
Good thing I made a backup, only MEFW update was needed. Damn... I used Aptio 5.02 and I guess it did something because Aptio 5 5.0.7 said Saving BIOS as unsigned, what's that mean?

unsigned BIOS will cause problems for sure :)
I always use this method to update my microcode :) have a look on Win-Raid.com forums.. it always works with me without issues.. :) it is little complicated though  that is why I always ask for people full dump BIOS and I do it by myself instead.. since it is pretty complicated process :) and also I don't want other get into irrecoverable state.. since I do it alot so.. :)

No, I flashed signed BIOS. I followed Daz's method and it worked. I think Aptio 5.02 patched version causes issues?

Yes another reason is Aptio version causes issues which is unexpected or doesn't make sense so... it is likely too that the specific Aptio version will cause issues while others it won't... it is all trial and error :)

Thanks Vasudev! I couldn't find JK's new converter version (I only had v1.0.0.0). v1.0.0.2 finally gives me a working .dat! thanks!

@6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 Can you update intel uCode folder mentioned in post# 190 in OP?
Heavy IO based app performance are seeing crap performance esp. OS slipstreaming.

Should update the OP that AMD are immune to Meltdown and 300/400 series have microcode update for Spectre already.

I skipped Ryzen uCodes because most of them are getting updated by OEMs.

I think it has judging from cpuid. Just check HWINFO summary or CPU section. Keep it open in background and run install.bat in elevated cmd. Hit F5 in HWINFO or re-open the application to verify the uCode. Intel has added them.

@Vasudev provided all updated microcodes that's been released officially :) it all depends on your CPUID.. if your CPUID have its own updated microcode.. it will apply it automatically through install.bat.. if not.. then it won't do anything :) simple ;) no harm of trying :)
