For those who want more optimisation they can add only needed bin files say I have a 6700HQ so my CPUID will 06-5-e3. So, the dat file will be trimmed for your CPU only. Loading time will be quick just like Linux.

The last two group of 9900k ucodes, August 2019 and the newest ones (Microcode C6 and CA) reduced about 100 mhz worth of Cinebench R15 and R20 scores (they were both the same reduction).

I'm using D4 ucode or skylake and it feels the CPU is getting choked for sustained workloads or benchmarks. I'll wait for Ryzen laptop or Threadripper 3 HEDT platform. I simply don't have time to deal with security flaw that reduces my CPU to Pentium Dual cores.

I kinda stopped using Windows 10 all at once but I still have a recovery image just in case if there is any issues with PopOS! linux... it works wonderfully and I currently use it for my work reliably ;)

If I have chance... I might get some time to see those micro codes again :)

@Vasudev if you care about security ... do it... if you care about performance.. don't do it :)

My CPU power has reduced to 60% now. Feels like 6200U after paying a lot on BGA. Will invest on thinkpad Ryzen and Ryzen TR now. I don't have time to play catch up with Intel.
