I really, really cannot wait to see what will my new rig be able to do, I am going to order the parts soon (specs in sig), I will make sure to post here once ready, though.

Well at least we can see that we don't necessarily have to rely on SuperPi for testing processing speed..
-
dammn, I used wPrime 2.00 when submitted my result.
-
Why aren't we using 2.0?
It is supposedly more accurate for comparing multicore/modern processors.
Also, for some reason v1.55 is not taking full use of my proc (1.55 versus 2.00 attached below).Attached Files:

Thanks!
Kind of obvious now that you have pointed it out...
Anyways, attached is the score for my W90Vp-A1 using wPrime 1.55.

But every veteran here kinda like "you should use 1.55 instead" -
2.0 is fine and 1.55 is fine as well.
This thread just seriously needs to be updated....
I do not have the time to redo the huge HTML tables.... I might make it simpler later using vB coding.
If another mod or user wants to update it, they are welcomed to.... just PM me the final HTML code and I'll update the post. -

Maybe easier just to start anew? Who knows how far back you will need to go to start gathering the new information. So if you start new we flush out the old data and old users.
I would lose my old scores since I do not have those systems anymore, but it would be a good idea to move to version 2.0 now since its offical and on hwbot as the new submit method.
on that note here is my W90 record right now

well if everyone is submitting their scores properly, they should be able to look at the results and compare them on hwbot.

Anyone got a higher score for a dual core in a notebook here?Attached Files:

32 seconds on the T61p and 33 seconds on the R61.
Wprime 2.0 -
not in this thread I dont think. -

Was that E8500 overclocked? Running at a higher fsb and having twice the lvl 2 cache would of course give it the edge too. I would have one if it weren't for the fsb limitations the C90S has.

Advent 6555
32M -19.314 sec (1596.2 MHz Yorkfield R0)
Either the clocks aren't being read properly or the multiplyer isn't kicking in properly because the clocks should be 2Ghz (1995.5 MHz) to be exact. -
if you set your CPU to run at full speed the whole time, then the clock speed will be accurate.
you score is about right though. -

thats as high as i can get with a OC @ 3.18 ghz i run outta voltage and crash after that -

I have a new laptop mobile cpu score. Hows 13.774 seconds sound for a 2.0ghz Q9000 OCed to 2.915ghz
almost a 50% OC
This is with WPrime 1.55, it would have been a bit faster on the new version or if I had optimized the computer for the test. -

Your overclocked FSB is helping a lot -
almost exactly half of mine....
vicious it is a nice OC -

The largest difference from your cpu and mine is mine was like $150 and included in the cost of my machine -

I think I got around 16 seconds for 32M without overclocking. -

I think theres one too many in the notebook hall of fame if I can post scores that get me in there lol. A bit late at the moment I will re run mystuff later.

Works for me in RC. Try disabling UAC.

So I'm guessing 33.597 sec for 32m leaves a bit to be desired.

I can't get version 2.03 to run at all. Have tried compatibility mode, run as admin, and nothing. It just says error occurred -2147024703 right after it tries to initiate the thread structure.

Could be a problem with the new Turion II - maybe version 2.03 doesn't support it...

Can someone explain why wPrime gave me better scores (fewer seconds) for the 32M test on my stock CPU clocks (BCLK) and worse scores (more seconds) on my CPU overclocks?
I used the settings of 4 threads.
I thought overclocking the CPU would increase its processing power and lower the seconds needed to compute in wPrime.
My CPU is a i5-450m in a Acer 3820TG. -
I can not get any version of Wprime to work on my laptop. I always get an error that says library already exists, and then Error occurred -2147024703. Any idea what's up?
