Sorry guys for not being exact clear.

The PLL is ICS9LPRS365BGLF and I'm attempting TME-unlock using SetFSB (It was half an year ago, so I don't remember which version of SetFSB was).

    I have followed those instructions:

I've sold my T5750 (667MHz FSB), otherwise I could've tried how it would go with it.

Any suggestions? Is it because his CPU is 667MHz FSB one, and mine is 800MHz (max for Santa Rosa, or at least for 5920G)? Thank you in advance.

    Hello guys, awesome thread

    I've a Asus UX30 (GS45 and Core 2 Duo Su7300)

    my pll is ICS9LPRS434AGLF-T.

IDT tells me "The active component inside is the 9LPRS436" and send me that datasheet

is there a way to get control of the base clock?

    Thanks very much

I'm reading the guide, in the first step after clicking "Get Fsb" there are 31 bytes not 13, the byte 09 show "0" so TME would be disable I think.

But going beyond don't understand what to do, in my pll datasheet I don't see PLL2 or PLL3

My Dell Vostro 1400 's PLL is CY28547,same as "Dell XPS M1730^3 CY28547 FSLx 200Mhz PLL 266Mhz PLL"
    I read this post.and questions:
1.CY28547 do not support by setfsb,so Pinmod disable TME mode is no use, right?
2.There is no 266Mhz in CY28547's datasheet,Are you sure there's someone succeed with FSLx way to get 266Mhz?

My notebook's clock generator is ICS9LRS3197AKLFT ,but it is able to use m11xr2 to overlock the fsb. Before I add an RAM,it could overlock the fsb to 170mhz (or hiher ,i didn't test higher than that).after I add the RAM,it just could only overlock to 141mhz,when I set higer ,it just went crashed. would you please tell me the reason?

Maybe your new ram isn't good for overclocking, you could try using higher ram timings or a lower ram frequency with thaiphoon burner or SPDtool. Or even memset.

Ehmm, yeah, first google result and one additional click and you get the datasheet:
SLG8SP512T datasheet, Pinout ,application circuits Clock Synthesizer For Intel Mobile PCI-Express Chipset

Also SetFSB supports some SLG PLLs, for example the SLG8SP513V, there's a slight chance that it works for your PLL as well (I didn't compare the datasheets, but it's worth a try imo)

    Update to T4200 + HP G60 (GL40 & ICH9) + TME Unlock + Undervolt & FSB Overclock (with RMClock)

Recently upgraded to T7500 courtesy of friends fried laptop. Results: 233 FSB + 116.7 PCI-E + 38.9 PCI * 11 @1.15V = 2563 mhz stable. There is quite a bit of thermal throttling in this configuration after extended usage (gaming etc.). The best configuration I have found for gaming is 233 FSB + 116.7 PCI-E + 38.9 PCI * 10 @ 1.1125V = 2330 as there is no thermal throttling. In this configuration my mobo thermal sensors reach 92-96 degrees. This is close to the threshold for thermal throttling. I am pretty sure throttling starts at 97 degrees celsius. Here is a screenshot after 40 minutes of Orthos.
Mentionable:I just recently cleaned the heatsink and fan. This laptop has a very minimal cooling solution and laptops with better cooling should have much better tolerances.
    Note:Here are the minimum stable voltages I have found for this configuration (GL40 + ICH9 + T7500 + 233 mhz FSB + 110 PCI-E + 36.7 PCI) using Orthos blend stress test and playing music on Winamp for 40 minutes;
    SuperLFM 08.0x (1/2 FSB) 0.8500V

Hello I tried with setfsb and also with r-w everything to check TME_READBACK to see if I can overclock my PLL with software! And my chipset is supported.
I have an acer 5920g and i found in this forum: http://forum.notebookreview.com/6052084-post418.html
There is a man Thaipo telling that his acer 5920 have a 9LPRS365BGLF clock generator.
I havr not opened my laptop but i have found this on google:
And i have alaso downloaded service manual and he tells SLG8SP512K05
so which is the correct clock generator?
Is i'd like to overclock before use a solder iron on my notebbok i'd like to see if this pll is supported..
    Can you help me?

    i also found this: http://www.nn.ru/data/forum/images/2011-05/35738795-extract_pages_from_zd1_quanta.pdf

    I also found this: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...K05&cd=9&hl=it&ct=clnk&gl=it&client=firefox-a

What does Clock Generator :ICS9LPRS365BGLFT (SLG8SP512K05) means?
SLG8SP512K05 is an alternative name? or ICS9LPRS365BGLFT and SLG8SP512K05 are 2 different possibilities?

    Hy @All,

I want to overclock my laptop:

    Fujitsu Lifebook E8310
    Intel GMA x3100 Graphics
    PLL: 9LPRS365BGLF
    Chipset: GM965
    CPU: T7250
    FSB: 200Mhz

but it doesn't work with SetFSB Method (slider go back to previous position), BSEL or FSLx (laptop not starting).

    Any Ideas?

You need to mod the PLL chip to enable TME mode. This involves taking a 1/4 watt resistor and soldering it to the TME pin on one side and grounding it on the other. The TME leg has to be completely removed. High risk of bricking your laptop if you don't know what you're doing.

    Hello all,

I managed to unlock TME in a HP G7000 mobo (identical to Compaq C700).
The PLL is a SLG8SP512T and comparing the datasheets with SLG8SP513V they look exactly the same but have a different package. So, I tried SetFSB but apart from getting a wrong reading in the divider (I get 3/6 when I should get 3/5), when I try to alter fsb system hangs.. The funny thing is that even if I downclock the same thing happens..

I would go for the FSLx mod but I want to eliminate any chance for SetFSB to work on my PLL first.. any ideas would be very much appreciated.. Thanks in advance!

Note: I have tried all SLG plls in setfsb and get more or less the same results

    Hi everybody,

I'm trying to overclock the T8100 on my Dell studio 1535 Laptop..
It looks like the PLL (SLG8SP513V) is locked, when I choose it in setFSB that says "PLL Byte error".
After a lot of internet research, PLL pinmod seems to be the only solution for this one, but I don't know wich pinmod I exactly have to do.

Somebody can tell me what exactly I have to do to make the FSB from 200 to 266Mhz?

    Dell Studio 1535
    ATI mobility HD3450 256
    PLL: SLG8SP513V
    Chipset: Intel PM965
    CPU: T8100 @2.10Ghz
    FSB: 200Mhz

    Thanks.

    Hello
Excellent topic, nice lecture, and after 3 day digging into this matter i know what is what BUT i would need someone to guide me by hand :p

i want to pinmod my dell e1705, processor t7400, PLL: ICS954305EKLF. setfsb doesnt read its values.

i was going to spend 100$ on upgrading cpu, but id rather pinmod, i could learn a lot in the process. become my guide to get my appreciation and 50$.

    thanks

All you need is here http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-compaq/421282-successfully-overclocking-dv2000.html . You'd be increasing the PLL frequency form 166->200 either by setting FSLa (pin41) LOW or FSLc (pin23) HIGH. Setting LOW/HIGH can be done by either isolating the pin and running it to GND/3.3V OR putting a pulldown/pullup resistor in the circuit. If successful then you'd have: T7400-2.16@667 -> 2.60@800

thank you for the reply, i did see that schematics and i got an idea what to do, its just that i dont fully understand how to do it.

to success in pinmod OC i must:

    1. set FSLa pin41 LOW by isolating pin AND running it to GND/3.3V
    OR
    2. set FSLc pin23 HIGH by putting a pulldown/pullup resistor in the circuit.

    now please explain:
    A. by isolate u mean "disconnect" the pin from current place and connect it to GND/3.3V?
    B. where is GND/3.3V, is it another pin? which one would be best?
    C. i need pulldown or pullup resistor, or is it one same thing? where do i get such resistor?
    D. by putting a resistor in the circuit, do u mean actually "disconnecting" the pin 23 and putting the resistor in between the pin and mobo hole where the pin was before?

Thank you for the input, i will probably not do it myself, but i need to know how to explain in detail what needs to be done to some pro techinician-electrician

Suggest give your pro technician-electrician the PLL frequency table, advising you wish to switch the PLL from 166Mhz to 200Mhz operation. The original input signals coming from the rest of the circuitboard must remain unchanged as those pins attach to the CPU/chipset FSL/BSEL pins. Altered FSL/BSEL inputs seen by the CPU/chipset will result in the CPU going into lowest-multiplier lockdown giving worse performance than you have now and/or cause the chipset to shutdown.

    Intel PM965 rev C0 wtih Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8435 @ 3.06GHz
    CPU-Z Validator 3.1
    CPU-Z Validator 3.1

It is possible to make a 1066 FSB Core 2 Duo to run on PM965... I think it works out of box on an iMac

My Dell Latitude D630 is using the same NB.. gonna try it with a 1066FSB processor

Hello. I congratulate them for their work and dedication to this forum. I keep a long time and read everything about pin mods. I need your expert help on the forum.
The fact is that trying to unlock PLL TME RTM875N Acer 5930G-606 and I was wrong to pin on the PLL and over the pin is broken. The confusion was that I started to have pins on the left side from top to bottom until you get to pin GND 11.Pero this seems to be cpu and now the computer does not boot. Try booting and after checking the DVD comes apaga. No or turn on the screen. Is it normal to not turn on the monitor? I put photo PLL. thanks

    iMac's 965PM runs 1066Mhz Penryn CPUs

Yeah, 1066Mhz Penryns work in a 965PM chipset but only when they are downclocked from 1066Mhz to 800Mhz http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...intel-gl960-gl40-useful-info-pll-modders.html

It is unusual that iMacs use a 965PM at 1066Mhz as discussed in Desktop-class CPU in new iMacs (E8xxx series) - MacRumors Forums . Certainly other 965PM chipset systems shutdown when trying.

The CPU sets the BSEL signal that's read by the CPU as follows:

    BSEL[210]=0/1/0 (800Mhz)
    BSEL[210]=0/0/0 (1066Mhz)

The 1066Mhz BSEL shuts down a normal 965PM chipset. So I'm wondering how these iMacs are running 1066Mhz FSB. So can I ask a favor? Can you provide:

    1. Post the CPU BSEL sent to the chipset by the CPU. Check this by running BarEdit to read 0/0/0 C0 (32-bit) per the 965PM datasheet info :

    2. Post the North and South bridge revision/stepping as shown below:

I'm wondering if Apple received a special revision 965PM chipset from Intel with 1066Mhz FSB support. Is it perhaps the desktop chipset instead?
