You should only be seeing C:.

Bad just means that AS SSD application has found that it thinks the drive is not correctly aligned. Be careful if the drive has a recovery partition on it, but nothing to do with physical damage or file corruption.

    TANWare,

You need to go to Tools, Copy Benchmark and upload that result to compare with the rest here. :)

Some kind of Toshiba/Samsung drive in the Macbook Air. Probably not helped by the fact that there was only 12GB free space in the bootcamp partition.

The machine is at my house in PA, will have to wait till the weekend or so till I get there. Does this just create another screen shot or text data file etc?

Edit; does this give me top score? I just looked on page 10 at a list and I think this puts me on top, is this true, at least for non raid that is?

    TANWare,

Yeah, the 437 'score' would be the best - but it is the wrong benchmark! :)

What it is ideally doing is performing a standardized file copy test on the drive with different types of files. See Phil's post above yours to see how it looks.

The 'score' we're looking for here is simply adding up all the MB/s numbers from the ISO, PROGRAM and GAME sections.

We can wait till you get back home!

TANWare should at least get a better score than what my M225 makes since my drive's random 4k is crap.

    namaiki,

his score should be better than my Inferno too as I never managed to get much higher than around 323(?) on AS SSD.

As long as he hasn't thrashed his SSD (like I have), then he may even beat the #5 Intel G2 80GB - with a score of 307 - held by Jkleiss.

TRIM support as reported by Anand seems like a myth to me.

As far as IRST v10.0.0.1046 WHQL - I think there is nothing better (for SSD's and mechanical HD's in real world use).

Ok i tested this program out. Not shure what these numbers mean though, but i find it a little bit strange that i get better result than some of the other people with the first test (4K, seq etc) but my drive suck on the other test (ISO, game etc) compared to the other G2 that have tested. Could it be because i`ve had the SSD for almost a year but have not used TRIM yet (due to old driver)?

Anyhow, it is a 160GB Intel G2 SSD with the old firmware (not updated)

This an old run of the Intel X25-E 64GB with the default MS drivers and the default 4k cluster size (without the RST drivers installed I don't know if you can add it to the list though)

Here's my Seagate Momentus 750GB ST9750420AS in an external eSATA enclosure. I'll run later connected direct to a SATA 300 port to see if there's any difference. Program copy seems kinda slow.

Just for comparison I've added my Seagate Momentus XT 500GB.

    htwingnut,

    thanks for the two shots.

I'm really surprised that it doesn't even rival my Hitachi 7K500 scores.

How full is this drive? Do you feel like downloading and running a trial version of PD 11 Professional on this setup and see if it improves these copy scores?

Thanks again for your time to do this.

For one, it's on eSATA on my laptop where my USB ports have been acting flaky so not sure if that is causing problems, will try on my desktop later.

The drive is completely empty right now. So should be maximum performance.

We're not running the main 'program'. We're running the drive copy test subsection as a kind of 'standardized' set of files we can all compare to.

Most of you are posting stratospheric ssd scores, Wow! So, even though my humble 5400 rpm drive doesn't reach triple digits, I am quite please with the result none the less. Drum roll please... 74.01

When comparing to other HDDs listed here I've beaten a couple newer generation drives and a 7200 rpm WD black. Gotta love the underdog!
