The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    as the original 2570p thread seems to be closed ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/hp-elitebook-2570p-owners-lounge.721550/), I´ll open a new one

    my battery latch is defective - bits of plastic broken, so the latch doesn´t catch anymore, battery can fall out - system without power.

    The original Latch Kit 685505-001 can be bought via Ebay (from Israel to Germany for 30,- Euro...)

    how difficult is changing the Latch Kit?
    Or should I try something different?
