    4 screen docking solution for 8540w/8740w?

    Any way to make a solution where you dock your HP 8x40w to a 4 screen solution (zr24w screens).

    look at the specs for the advanced docking station and see if the multiple dvi connectors there solve your problem.

    You'd have to get something like a USB-to-DVI connector or DIY ViDock.

    If you get the ATI Evergreen card and the "HP 230W Advanced Docking
    Station (NZ223AA#XXX)" (which has two DisplayPort ports and two DVI ports), then you should be able to use all four of those ports at once.

    If the internal LCD is embedded DisplayPort rather than LVDS, you can use that, too.

    I also seem to remember there being a DisplayPort port on the laptop itself.
