    hey guys,

I got a HP 4430s which I bought new for $200 in ebay... really good deal... I was wondering if I could replace the LCD with a 1600x900 lcd... I bought one already for $40 only, 1600x900 40 pin connector, 14"...

I heard that in previous BIOS versions it wouldn't let you use non-HP LCD Displays, but after F.20 (I saw ap ost from am ember about it) it accepts the 1600x900 LCD...

    Any inputs? Thanks!

Transplanted by DV7's i5 2410m cpu, 8gb ram and ssd in there lol.

hkseo100, did you ever get this screen installed? If so, did it require any other parts?
