Considering mainly building aspects which are the concrete differences among these products ?

All considered, price included, which is the better deal ?

I'm interested into know if there is much difference in terms of display quality, too.

    Thanks, Stefano.

    Thanks Indrek.
    Great, as usual.

    p.s.:
Do You remember the X220 ?
Well... I still have to decide wheter to buy it or a T410/6930P that come 100 euro less or T400/6930P that come 150 euro less.
    Arrrgh....

Where is the 6930P available? I currently use a 6910P and really like it, it's been a workhorse.

In terms of build quality and keyboard does the probook serie (Like 4320s) represents a further improvement or not ?

    Hi amazing-boy,
you mean you are STILL looking for a successor to the 6510b? My advice would be to just buy one machine from a dealer where you have the right to return it if you don't like it.

As for build quality, the EliteBooks are better than the 4320s ProBooks for so many reasons.

Just invest ~ 200 EUR on a nice 6930p in the EU and you're done. I used to have an nx8220 prior to my 6930p and also still like the plastic top cover on these older HPs like your 6510 or my old 8220 and the overall touch to the frame, but in terms of stability and material mix, the 6930p is just great.

If you're planing to use your Linux distro on it, I'd even go for the one with ATI gfx. I have 2x 6930p at home - one Intel / LED and one ATI /CCFL and my main machine is still the one with the CCFL screen.

As for Lenovo T400 vs HP: Lenovos are cool and I love the thermal intake at the side of the frame, but there are some quality issues on the T400 that I just can't understand (with the existing HP experience). Like the hand rest (top cover) or keyboard which are imo better on our EliteBooks.

    6530b - what Indrek said.

Good notebook but not so really good price, in my opinion.
At the same price, at least in Italy, it is possible to buy more recent lenovo/hp business notebooks.

Wow things are cheap in italy , the OS goes for 130 here OEM version , $274.00 for a laptop with Win Pro 7 64 P-8700 , 4 gb ram and 320 gb 7200rpm drive and the build quality is not much IMO , and free shipping . What's it go for in Italy $50.00 ?

In such a case the difference is all about the OS price.
With ex-demo and and-leasing products the os does not impact so much on the total price.

6930p has a far more superior build quality, but the E6400 has the better display (LED). And if you manage to get an E6400 with AUO Panel, you may have one of the best 14" tn-panels out there. I only chose the E6400 because of the panel.
