Since today I am not able to boot up my HP Elitebook 8460p. The screen stays black. Not even the POST screen shows.
When I press the power button the WIFI, HDD an the Power LEDs go on. Also the fan starts.
The HDD LED turns off after few seconds.

I tried various suggestions from the Internet such as removing the battery and disconnecting from the AC. Pressing the power button for about 60 seconds and only connecting the AC cable.
I also removed the memory modules one by one.

Any suggestion on how I can bring back my beloved laptop to life?

Does your Caps light and/or num lock light flash to give you a diagnostic code by the number of flashes?

Have you tried re-seating the ram, wifi, wwlan, cpu, etc?

Try external monitor or see if the laptop shows on your router as device - if your display or gpu has gone bad, this would show you the rest works fine. Otherwise check for the error codes as Steve mentioned above.
