    Hey,

due to an accident the display of my beloved 8470w is broken. It hasn't been a joy before (still a clue to me how u can equip a business model with such a shi*ty display - speaking of viewing angels and colors ...), irrespective of that it has to be fixed.

I have done some research and stumbled over laptopscreen.com, based on the reviews, including those in this forum, I have checked their offers.

They list different versions of the 8470w, all I know is that I have got the HD+ display (matte and 1600x900). Due to my cluelessness I would like ask how I can find the right serial part number, the hp service manual lists the following displays:

14.0-in, LED, FLT, HD+, AntiGlare display panel 686047-001

14.0-in, LED, FLT, HD, AntiGlare display panel 686046-001

14.0-in, LED, SVA, HD+, AntiGlare display panel 684348-001

14.0-in, LED, SVA, HD, AntiGlare display panel 684347-001

Does anyone know the difference between the SVA and FLT one?

    Optional question in this regard:
is there any screen, which offers better specifications (viewing angels, resolution ...), that fits in the 8470w (maybe from another model) ?

    Any support is welcomed!

    Many thanks in advance!
