Hello all- im a novice so be gentle :)

My father has an 8540w that he would like to run with 2 external monitors, while also using the computer screen. Thus far, he has tried, but so far can only use the 2 monitors with the computer lcd off- or 2 monitors, with one showing a duplicate of the computer screen's image.

He would like to be able to have all 3 showing an independent image. Is the docking station necessary for this, or is this a limitation of the machine itself?

The gpu is a Quadro FX 880M

No current Quadro can run more than 2 monitors. ATI/AMD FireGL cards with Eyefinity support is needed for 3-5 displays at once.
