Has anyone overcklocked the 8730 with setfsb or softfsb?
I'm wondering if anyone knows which clock generator is used in the Elitebook 8730w for use with setFSB?

All recent HP notebooks I've looked at were TME-locked. Meaning a hardmod would be needed to unlock them to allow software overclocking. An example for a 2710P here or see the PLL pinmod link in my sig.

Could try a bios mod to unlock Throttlestop's dual-IDA mode if still under warranty.
