Does anybody know if there is any way of dimming these keys through the software or do I have to go ahead and do it the inelegant way and put dark stickers or filters on top of the keys. I usually use an 8760w but now I'm also using an 8740w and I just can't get used to these silly bright LEDs.

Also, I can't disconnect the connector for the slide cover from the motherboard since the power button as well as all the other light up keys are controlled through the same cable and the same connector.

    Many thanks.

edit* crap, should've posted this in the owner's lounge, my bad.
