As far as I know HP, like Lenovo, have only whitelisted a select number of their own networking cards. I've tested it myself with a spare networking card from a Dell M6700 and it did not work, even if both cards are Intel branded.

You can use AX200 in miniPCI form from Toulineua.

I have Intel 7260 AC cards in both my 8770w and 8570w. They work great and without issues, just pop it in and install the driver.
