    Hi,
I bought the 150W advanced docking station, without the ac adpater, and when connecting it to my 120W laptop ac adapter it doesn't work. The power light doesn't even turn on, nor any other lights.

Do you know if even for the power light a 150W adapter is needed, or is it broken? Or perhaps the kp0081AA advanced docking station uses a different power connecter than the ac apapter of the 8710w?

    Thanks.

could be faulty or a safety feature because the power supply has not enough power (but never heard of this, though)

have you checked compatibility? I don't know kp0081AA

the green LED of the power supply should be on, the green LED at the docking station power connector (above is one) should be on and the blue ones of the switch and so on only are on if you have connected the notebook
