I currently have HP un2430 EV-DO/HSPA. It doesn't quite work, sometimes after the reboot it shows up as unknown device with error code 43. I don't know if it's because of the newly flashed BIOS F.41, drivers or Windows 8. Would Ericsson be better 3G module? It seems to have faster speed atleast.
Im a bit confused about the Ericsson modules listed on HP site.

There are two models, 2350 and 2340, it also says that "The Ericsson mobile broadband module (QC431AA) allows you to connect at 4G speeds so you can get your work done faster than with a 3G connection". Why 2350 doesn't, even though the specs look the same?
HP hs2350 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband H4X00AA
HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module QC431AA
Then there is this on alot of stores, again the specs look the same:
HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module F5521GW
Which of these is the newest model and what difference do these have?
Also if I order 3G from my provider, would It be better to get 4G connection or do those work with these modules? I mean if 4G sim works with these, would I benefit from the 21mbps that Ericsson HSPA+ offers?

hs2350 is the one compatible with 8570p.
HP Elitebook actually has whitelist setting in BIOS to prevent user installing "untested" 3G mobile card.
Have you tried latest driver for un2430?
It is the only one compatible wit both 60x and 70x generations.
I would assume the performance to be qualified. -
