    hi I bought this laptop used and the bios is locked with admin password, is there anyway for me to remove this password?

    Note: I did try to contact original owner haven't able to get a hold of him in weeks!

    any help appreciated thanks.

    rested cmos by removing battery still didnt work :confused: There has to be way.

    While recently researching a different BIOS question, I remember seeing a statement by HP that the user must be particularly careful to remember the BIOS password, because if forgotton, it could only be reset by sending the machine to HP support.

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If the seller doesn't show up soon, I'd give HP a call.
