My father's HP laptop (6530b - in warranty - around 1.5 years old)'s hinge is broken. It wasen't dropped or abused in any way. The thing is a similiar thing happened to another of my HP laptops around 2-3 years ago(again business class and again not dropped/abused in any way) and at that time since it was in the last month of a 3 year warranty i didn't do anything since I didn't want to go through the hassle of physical damage vs defect. This time I am super annoyed and plan to ask HP to fix. What are people's experience with this? Will they claim physical damage and not fix it.
