    Hi

I am deciding between getting the 620m or 520m edition of the 8440p, but I have some doubts about the heat, noise and battery-life.

Can anyone tell me if the reduction of battery, increase in noise level and heat is any major annoyance (if any?) Meaning will i be disappointed if i would buy a 620m instead of a 520m?

I am a software dev and I do like the slightly better performance of the 620m, but I wouldn't like to get if the everyday annoyances/factors (battery, heat, noise) would be a lot worse than 520m.

Or is the 540m the best deal from a perf/battery/noise/heat perspective?

I have had the 6910p in the past and i really loved that one, so I don't want to get anything that is warmer, louder or way less battery.

(Price is not the deciding factor right now).

From what I have read, the two processors may have different clock speeds but the difference in their performance are highly negligible.

If price is no factor, get the 620M, but just know that you won't see any significant difference in real life situations from the 520M.
