I have two Elitebook 8560p laptops. One has SSD and the other has HDD. I would like to swap the hard drives between the two 8560p laptops. Is all I need to do is install the hard drives and it's good to go once I press the power button? Or do I have to do any configuring, or re-install Windows?

    Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I appreciate the information.

One 8560p has an i7 and the other i5. That's the only difference.

With factory installs that isn't even necessary as the data is 100% same on both computers.

That wouldn't matter either, as the data in the computer bios is still same saying "This is a HP computer with Windows 7". Rest of the needed bits are in the hard drive, certificate confirming HP computer and license code defining windows edition.
