bur HP site says ddr2 6400 is what's used . Bought mine 2nd hand and mem is ddr2 5400 , so I want to upgrade the 2 gb to at least 4 .
But seeing a ddr3 is 1/4 the price I could put in 8gb for the price of 2 gb ddr2 .
So possible to run ddr5 in the 8530 ?

    Thanks

thanks , ddr2 6400 it is then , should be an improvement over the ddr2 5300in it now . MEM has a 5.9 rating on win 7 performance index , hope to get it to 6.4 with the 8g of ddr2 6400 like the other components .
