Does anyone know of a monitor driver for the LGDF200 15.4" WUXGA LCD on a 8510W?

This is gonna sound wierd/pathetic/?! to some of you but I need a driver for the LG DF200 LCD in my 8510W because I want to play Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura ( SHUT YOUR FACE! It's a good game damnit ).

Anyways, I need the driver for the LCD so I can adjust the acceleration for the game like what you can do in XP to remove the 2d graphical anomalies in the game.

Does anyone know of a driver for this LCD?

I take it noones ever needed an LCD driver for a plug and play LCD? Sucks for those of us with older games where the driver can let us alter 3d acceleration levels which can only be done to my knowledge if your PC has the driver for your display.

well in windows vista/7 the main need for monitor drivers sort of bit the dust.

you could however force the operating system to use a driver for your panel.

to do this, you would need to go to monitor - update driver, search for drivers, then uncheck the tickbox saying 'compatible devices only' then scroll up till you finally find the resolution of your display eg 1920x1200 @ 60Hz LCD Panel.

This will force the OS to recognise the display as a panel, and not a PNP monitor, and should fix your issues.

remember to reboot afterwards for it to take effect.

    Hope this helps

I see no option in Windows 7 for the tickbox "compatible devices only."

    sigh.

Right click desktop and screen resolution.

then screen resolution, then it will say 'advanced settings' click
that to get another window up.

Click the monitor tab, and then advanced (or properties)

this will bring up another window.

    then click on properties.

This will open yet another window.

    Click on Driver.

    Click on update driver.

    Yet another window opens.

Click on browse computer for software.

    Click let me choose driver.

    Click next.

Click the tick by 'show compatible hardware'

then scroll up to the Digital Flat Panel which matches your laptop resolution.

in this case, Digital Flat Panel 1920x1200 @60 hz click next it'll update the driver.

Click ok, reboot and you're done
