So I have a brand new 8440w that I installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on to. The issue is that when I go to my Windows control panel I have a generic icon for Nvidia nView Desktop Manager. When I click in it I get:
This makes sense as such .dll or .cpl does not exist. I went to my Add\Remove programs and saw nView listed and had it removed, which I then was told it didn't exist and it just removed it from the list but the it's still showing up in my control panel. I updated the graphics drivers, directly downloaded from HP.

Any idea on how to either get nView Desktop Manager installed or get it removed from my control panel? I've read things about deleting cpl files but since one doesn't exist any other ideas?

    Thanks.
