One user reported that their non-DreamColor monitor ID was AUO13ED:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...litebook-8560w-mini-review-2.html#post7682995

For the HP Pavilion Dv6t, they are using both the AUO13ED (AUO B156HW01-V3) and LGD0259 (LG LP156WF1-TLF3) for the screens.

I was wondering if HP is using the same screens for the 8560w, or changing them also randomly.

Could anyone that gets an 8560w non-Dreamcolor please post their monitor ID?

It can be found in Windows by going to Control panel - System - Device Manager - monitor - plug and play - property - detail and going through the drop-down details until you see the ID, or by using a program like Edidw2k.

    Thank you in advance.

LOL, you are correct. However, I have no way to edit or delete and re-create the main thread. So, unfortunately my thread will forever refer to the old Sega console :)

Thank you LaptopLawyer. They were using that for a while and just recently switched to an LG model (non-DC) as stated above in my post. Maybe they won't do that for the EliteBooks.

From what I have heard, the non-DC LG that I stated has a blue cast to the colors. I have the same monitor as you in my Pavilion dv6t.

Well, I've been pleased with it so far. The Dreamcolor sounds great, but I don't really need it.
