Tonight, I turned on my HP EliteBook 8570w, and I couldn't get my Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook 5000 to work. I noticed that I had my wireless turned off (I turned it off over thanksgiving weekend), but when I turned it on, my mouse still wouldn't work. I noticed that it had disappeared from my devices and printers list; however, when I went to add a device, it could not find my mouse. I also noticed that there were no Bluetooth radios in the device manager anymore!! So I uninstalled the Bluetooth driver, but when I went to re-install it, it said that there were no Bluetooth radios in my computer! How is that even possible? The wireless IS ON, and I never took apart my laptop between the last time I had Bluetooth working and tonight. Why can't my PC detect the Bluetooth radio, and how do I force it to detect it?

Never mind, I figured it out. I had to download HP Connection Manager and enable the Bluetooth there. Odd that I was able to get away without having it for 4 years...
