I have several HP 2540p previous gen elitebooks in the company, and theres an issue with HP protect tools drive encryption on all of them.

i have setup HP protect tools to encrypt the drives and now they require the users to input their domain password twice in order to access the windows desktop, once on initial boot for the encryption software and once after the secure logon (ctrl+alt+del) key combo is pressed in windows.

my understanding of one step logon under the HP protect tools management suite was that it was literally that, one step, so why do my users have to use 2 steps?????

help the monkey get of my back please someone, if light can be shed on this that would be great!

    cheers
