    I know this is a bit early but this thread might help us know release dates, new features, and improvements over 840 G1. Below are the links and infos that are out on the web.

    New Features
    • 5th Generation Intel Brodwell Processor
    • PCIe SSD port with 256 GB SSD storage
    • AMD Radeon R7 M260X for selected models

    And here it is.
    Gets a somewhat low 85% - scoring lower than the G1 with 87% there. Sadly.
    On the upside, they are complaining about the display again, having received a 1600x900 TN-panel with somewhat mediocre brightness levels and alike.

    The machine could have been greatly silent they said (up to 34db during a stresstest), but emitted an electronic whining noise which in silent environments drove them mad.
    Temps stayed as low as below 40°C on any spot of the case during the stresstest.

    The battery WiFi 1.2-Test ended after 7:02 hours - being on par with the Dell Latitude 7450 there.

    Overall they say its only a refresh of the 840 G1 - nothing else changed. Keep emphasizing the display though. I doubt that anyone will go for the 1600x900 TN-panel in here anyways.

    Got to check out a 840 G2 and was very disappointing on the display brightness, the lack of that is.
