    Hi

In the maintenace & service book, say the Heatsink for Nvidia quadro FX1800 is the 595766-001 and the ATI is the 595768-001.

but in all stores sales 595766-001 as 595768-001 and viceversa

physically, is the same heatsink? or is a different model? (as the patrt number point it)

anyone can post the pictures of both heatshink or the phisical diference between both?

i have the laptop with the Quadro FX1800 and i want upgrade to the ATI Firepro M5950. but i'm not sure if the heatsink for nvidia quadro FX1800 is valid for ATI cards

    greetings

I have 8540w (old buddy that I'm traveling with since Clevo isn't portable as much).
As far as I remember, these heatsinks are different. You will need ATI/AMD one. I don't remember exacly why (it was about 6-7y ago) but it could be something about GPU Core height or vrm. You should search on HP forums, there was once a loot of threads with 8540w GPU upgrades - I hope they didn't removed threads.
