I went into the BIOS of my new Elitebook 8540w and I saw were I can enable AMT, so I did. I tried Ctrl-P on POST (Like I do on every other VPro enabled laptop) and nothing happens.

What am I missing? I want to enable the remote KVM feature. Thanks in advance.

I know on my 8530w, I had to enable "firmware verbosity" and "ctrl-p setup prompt". The ctrl-p prompt should be after the BIOS logo.

Also a bummer: apparently, KVM will only work if you have access to the IGP. Without switchable graphics, you'll get black. I wish Intel would've made "KVM works" a requirement to get vPro branding!
