    hi everyone :)

    I just bought a HP elitebook 8570w I7 (2.24Ghz), 16GB ram etc.
It was windows 8.1, I wasnt comfortable working on windows 8, so I installed the windows 7 (64 bit)
Since I installed windows 7, laptop starts restarting at its own, it occurs once or twice a day
I am 3D animator, i can not bear the loss of my files while working.
Also I am using external key board and mouse, there is no as such over heating problem. last night it turned down, the laptop temp was quite normal.
It suddenly turns off and restarts with a screen options "Safe mode" "start windows normally" etc etc
Please anybody help me out how to fix it
    will appreciate

    Thanks :)

It sounds like a faulty driver installation or a failing hardware component is causing a major system crash. This causes the Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) to appear. However, Windows will automatically reboot itself by default when a BSoD occurs, and it restarts so quickly that the monitor often doesn't have time to display the BSoD (which may contain useful info in diagnosing the crash) before it restarts.

Thankfully, we can disable the Auto restart feature as follows:
Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System. Click on Advanced System Settings in the left column, then click the bottom "Settings..." button (the one for Startup and Recovery), and then uncheck the "Automatically Restart" checkbox on the subsequent dialog boxes that appear.

Now, instead of you computer restarting, your computer should show a BSoD and hang. Take note of the error code and any files that are listed in the BSoD. You will have to hold the power button to shut down, but at least you'll have more info regarding why this problem is occuring.

    Good Luck!
