I have a Elitebook 8770w about to be delivered any minute. Yah!! I've seen where I can update the bios. But it states that once you update to the new version you can't go back. Is there any reason you would want to go back.

Also. Is bios recovery the same thing as updating. What's the difference.

The only reason you could possibly want to revert BIOS is because some compatibility issues, which occur with aftermarket parts. Most of the times newer = better. If you don't see or experience any issues/bugs/etc. and you are not all about updating, you can stay on your current BIOS. Your pick.
