I bought a HP Probook recently and it's great but the fan never turns off and I don't do any heavy stuff on it. I was googling for a solution and I read about turning off the fan in bios but I don't know what that is. Can someone explain?

The BIOS is the bootup firmware directly run and stored on the motherboard.
A simple Google search does the trick as well.
BIOS - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You can access the BIOS on bootup by depressing the button that corresponds with your model/brand. On my HP it is Esc.
If you miss accessing the BIOS you must reboot and try again. -
I'm afraid that 'that' option probably won't help with the problem. I had an 8640p for a week and a 6460b... The fans were always on even after major tweaking with ssd drive and drove me up the wall. In the end I returned the Elitebook and the Probook is on ebay.
The 5330m with the i3 is silent. -
P.s. You might need to update your bios as the fan option is not included with the shipping bios. The option won't turn the fan off anyway.

Speedfan. Google it.
Fan always on.
