I've seen this question alot over the 'net and wanted to try and get a firm answer.. I thought it'd certainly be a 'yes' considering the $1,700 i'll be spending on mine (and that I'll be a college freshman in 2 months), but I just realized that the offer is only for 'selected' computers.

Anyone have some clarification for me?

As long as you give a .edu email and/or proof of enrollment (a copy of ID card should be sufficient), you can call HP and they should honor it...although I don't know whether they will since the 8560w is a business side notebook...oh wellll...doesn't hurt to try right?
