I am just curious how well other people's HP laptops that have the "HD" webcam perform when you switch up to the high/HD resolution mode. My 4430s (second gen i3, newest Intel HD 3000 graphics) is not really useable in HD mode because the lag is so significant. This is true in a decently illuminated room and even turning off the low light compensation doesn't seem to reduce the lag. The cam is pretty decent at the lower resolutions. I am just wondering if anyone has found a set of tweaks to the configurations to make the video more acceptable.
