    Hi All,

After some help if possible. One of our 2560 elitebook laptops is having an issue with the touchpad only moving along a vertical line when coming out of Windows 7 (64bit) unlock. The issue remains until the laptop has been rebooted. If using a mouse the issue does not occur, so it appears to be specific to the touchpad. I have deleted the synaptic device and reinstalled it again however the same issue occurs. Was toying with the idea of reseating the touchpad cables however I can't see that being the issue. Has anyone come across the issue before?

    Thanks

    Wes?

only seen this once before on a thinkpad. it was the driver falling over when the system locked. i think it was resolved by not using the synaptics driver at all.

However, it could be a fault, so bear that in mind also.
