    HP 6730b not charging

    Hello everyone,
    I am at my wits end. I own the abovementioned machine and it stopped charging. I am a tech, so I dismantled the machine, checked it thoroughly,did not find anything wrong so I had a friend with more experience have a go at it. It was returned to me with the same finding.
    I have since been online and found a few incidents refering to similar situations. The answer that seemed to work in most incidents was to update the bios, however I am unable to do so because the update refuses to launch without the machine being plugged in.
    The machine does not recognize the charger at all. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

    I have. I also tried another known working battery.
