Hey guys, I have a HP elitebook 8540w with a few odd quirky issues.

    1) The right side of the laptop(if you are facing the front/keyboard), the usb drivers there don't work. I can't remember the last time they have worked and in device manager there are yellow exclamation marks on the usb devices.
I have tried to uninstall the usb drivers in device manager -- > restarted and installed the Intel USB software drivers from the HP website for the 8540w. This didn't help.

    2) The laptop won't charge the battery past 4%. We thought it was a battery issue so we replaced the battery with a new one from HP. When the laptop is restarted and the desktop loads up, the battery icon has the motions as if it was charging, but a few minutes in it stops.

The laptop is 95% of the time in the HP dock...and if we charge the battery by the power adapter directly or via the dock...same issue.
The battery is stuck @ 4% and won't move on.

I have gone into the power options, it is set for max performance and I have reset the settings for the battery already with no improvement.

    Any suggestions?
The laptop is running Windows 7 Enterprise x64
