    Hi guys,
does anyone know if the Nvidia GTX 965M (refresh version) works in an HP 8570w Dreamcolor.
It was mentioned somewhere else that this card won't work with Dreamcolor just with non-Dreamcolor, can anyone confirm or deny?

I can't see why it wouldn't work with that. The dreamcolor are not Quadra dedicated just GPU dedication

Actually the quadras support 10 bit color, and I don't think maxwell mainstream cards support that and I believe the dreamcolors require it

    Thank you guys!
Sorry, but what does 'quadra' actually mean?
Do you mean the 'nVidia Quadro M' series?
If so, would an 'Quadro M2200 Mobile' work in an HP 8570w regardless of display type?
    @ ChanceJackson
So with an ZBook 15 G1 there would be the same issue with the 965M regarding dreamcolor or not, right?

Is there a reliable way to see if an HP8570w (or ZBook 15 G1) got a dreamcolor display?

Quadro cards are part of Nvidia's professional offerings firmware separates them from the GeForce line in various ways and in the case of maxwell and earlier 10 bit color is quadro exclusive it is possible that dreamcolor can work with 8bit but even if it can, you would lose out on the greater color space that dreamcolor gives you, is this laptop used for content creation?

As to your second question I think the hp advisor software will give you the make and model of your screen then just cross check the make to see if that is what hp markets as dreamcolor
