    Hi,

i changed my Old dead Nvidia Quadro k5000 with a new Quadro P4000, here is what i did:

    1. update to latest bios (Version F68), bios accepted the Card without any problem
    2. start Windows, in device Manager the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is shown but also in "other devices" there is the Basic System device with Warning "Code 28" the Drivers were not installed
    3. i changed the newest Nvidia Driver 391.89 with the help from this site:
    https://null-src.com/posts/nvidia-notebook-driver-inf-mod/post.php the Hardware id is:
    PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_176C103C
i changed these files: nvblwi.inf (this should be the hp file) and the nvcvwi.inf (this should be the Display Check file before Installation)
    4. i used DDU to clean all Old installations
    5. i installed the modified Driver 391.89 (with unsigned Driver Warning from win 10)

    now the Problem:
After the Installation the screen went black with green Stripes, and i could only uninstall the Driver in safe mode, and now im back in the Microsoft Display Adapter mode :-(

Perhaps someone could help me here, thanks in Advance, here is the screenshot from GPU-Z:

No way to run Pascal GPU on non-Dreamcolor display.

Turn off CSM and secure boot. If it's not Dreamcolor you need to enable optimus

Optimus on 8770W is always off no matter if it’s Dreamcolor or not.

Hi, did you manage to make the GPU work on 8770W at the end?
I am interested in buying P4000 for my 8770W DC also...

Please, upload your vbios .rom file for P4000
