Hello, I am asking for someone that knows about HP docking stations and their compatibility with the HP Elitebook 8560w.

    Here is what I need:

-An advanced docking station (so I can have a dual monitor setup.)

    - Must be capitalize with the HP elitebook 8560w (NVIDIA 1000m with 2.2 i7 (quad mobile))

Here are the model numbers that I have been looking at so far:

A7E36UT - 120W advanced docking station ( I would pick this one out first if it will work) - I am just afraid it will not be powerful enough becauase me wall charger is a 150W that came with the computer.

A7E36AA - 120W advanced docking station (appears to be the same as the A7E36UT but $100 more, please explain the difference please0

A7E38UT - 230W advanced docking station - This would be number 2 on my list if number one fails (because of price of course)

A7E38AA - 230W advanced docking station - once again, I am not sure what the difference is between this one and the A7E38UT except fot the price difference.

One last thing, I looked at other spec sheets that say NZ222AA- (120W Adv DS) and NZ223AA (230 Adv DS) were combatiable, however I can not find the product anywhere on HP. I just find it sold out at newegg and tigerdirect.

As always, I appreciate your time and effort in helping me.

you should go for the 230W. You may buy a 120W and replace the power supply with an 230W power supply if you can save a little money (despite the writing on the docking stations they should be the same inside and the only difference is the power supply, the more Watt will do no harm but if you have not enough it will not work)

Further NZ223AA and A7E38UT and so on should be also all the same. Sometimes it depends on the country which label is used or it is only a bundle deal or special offer. The power plug design could differ but this is normally specified with the ending, e. g. NZ223AA#AAB where AAB is the country code)

I think you even can go for the 2012 230W docking station A7E38AA. However, these have USB 3.0 ports and a newer display port version which may work for you, too (or not).
