    Looks good. Would have been even better with 16:10 screen on 2560p and optional IPS och both models.

    2760P = 2.5" HDD + 12.1" 1280x800 LCD :D, 44Whr 6-cell :(
    2560P = 2.5" HDD + ODD + 12.5" 1366x768 LCD :(, 100Whr 9-cell :D

    2560P = disappointing compared to the X220. The X220 is lighter, has IPS screen and mSATA+2.5" HDD options. Only thing favoring the 2560P is it's looks and optical drive. Had HP done a mSATA+optical drive setup, add IPS 1280x800/1440x900 LCD option, a Thunderbolt port, slimmed and weighed it down rather than up then such a 2560P could have even gone toe-to-toe against the upcoming Sony Z replacement.

    The 2760P is more interesting imho apart from the paltry battery.

    EDIT: In the brochure it appears the 2760P is using the 2740P chassis rather than the new one used in the 2560P/8460P.

    I actually think the 2760p screen is IPS.

    I would like to see some real pictures of this beastie; if it retains the 27x0p design (dating back to the 2710p I think) then that would make it 1000 times better than the X220t (have you noticed the 'battery hump' on it? I had a Tm2 that had a battery hump as well, and it sucked as it got in the way ALL THE TIME -it was bad [granted its not as bad as the Tm2's, but it is still there which means it will really just get in the way -especially in slate mode), though I haven't looked into the X220 laptop much (I would hope that doesn't have a battery hump

    I am sure the 2760p will probably be using Hydis AFFS+ (possibly IPS) panels for their better screen option (they will probably continue their trend of making most models with inferior screens, and only giving you the nice screen with the option for it -saves them some money, and makes them some more money at the same time)

    Also, [concerning the 2760p again] the 44Whr battery has been standard in the 2730p/ 2740p, so I wasn't expecting a change there; and of course there is the optional 46Whr Slice Battery (which should still be backwards/ forwards compatible), as well as the Slim Dock

    Well, at leat the tablet was saved from the 16:9 screen. No high resolution though (1600x900) :( This generation the thinkpad x220 will be the best. I was tempted to go back to a 12" Elitebook but I prefer to save money for an ultraportable toughbook.
