I'm seriously considering ordering asap the HP EliteBook 1030 Manufacturer Part configuration W0T08UT but can't find reviews-owners? Thoughts on it-see links below?

    http://store.hp.com/us/en/ContentVi...logId=10051&langId=-1&eSpotName=Elitebook1030

    https://www.google.com/search?q=Manufacturer+Part+W0T08UT+ABA

    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=HP+Elitebook+1030

Also any thoughts on P rovantage.com with its 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed on all in stock products?

I also was considering the Lenovo 900S because I prefer a fanless system with PCI-SSD (like this EliteBook 1030 which has 16 GB vs 8 GB for the 900S & 1 yr standard warranty vs 3yr for that EliteBook 1030) as well as the Surface Book because I prefer detachables but I think I'll wait for the next generations Surface Book. I recently bought a Pavilion x360 for my dad & don't find myself using many positions beyond 150 degrees & I do already have a 13.3" detachable HP Split x2 (with 4GB RAM) & 11.6" Envy x2 (with only 2GB RAM) already when I would like to pop the screen off. I'd rather have a good solid laptop (ideally with front facing speakers like this Elitebook 1030) & typing experience than a questionable hybrid or protype experience at this point (although I do like my HP hybrid 2 in 1s if they weren't so limited mainly in their RAM causing me to reboot & limit multi-tasking).

-Thx for your feedback as I'd like to order asap

    Hello,

there's an german review at http://www.notebookcheck.com/Test-HP-EliteBook-1030-G1-Subnotebook.168720.0.html

There comparing it to the Folio G1, although it's far more like the "old" Folio 1020.

Fortunately, HP decided to change to an clickpad again (the Forcepad of the Folio 1020 has non-existing linux support) - unfortunately, they replaced the card-reader with an UBS-C-Type port.

    Regards,

    waitan.
