Are they any other pointing stick rubber tips I can get to replace the one which came with 8460p? I can easily take it out, just has a little square mounting opening; I just don't find it comfortable and hope it comes in a different shape like a raised one on ThinkPad?

Thanks! Just discovered the same when I took off cap from an old Thinkpad at work. Had to trim it a little bit, but works OK. After a decade of using ThinkPads, they switched to HP at work (not happy about that, but have no choice but just get used to it). So, at home my Thinkpads, and at work EliteBook. Not a bad lappy but it's such a step down from Thinkpad keyboard to anything else :) Plus, even the pointer stick at the fastest pointer speed still is not as responsive as on my Tpads. I can disable enhanced precision option which speed things up but than pointer is all over the place...
