    Hi there,

    I have an EliteBook 8540W which has an i7 720QM. I also have an i7 920XM from 8740W. Can I upgrade my CPU with the 920XM?

    You might be able, but good luck cooling it. The 8740w's cooling is pretty pathetic, so I can only guess how much worse the 8540w's cooling is.
