    Hello,

I bought my Elitebook 8560w (1920x1080 with nVidia Quadro 1000M) a few weeks ago and unfortunately had to send it for keyboard repair. I got phone info from HP that thay also replaced my display, "because something was probably with it". Well, happens...

I recently picked up the returned notebook and I couldn't get rid of impression that the display configuration is way different that before - meaning that colors are more warm and white color is too yellow instead of "cold, sharp" white it used to be. I look into the card summarizing service actions and found that field ""Display replaced" was not marked, suggesting there had been no such action...

Then I found some info over the web that HP automatically replaces most of the 8560w displays as a sort of maintenance program. AIDA64 says I have AUO13ED display now.

Do you know anything about such service action of HP? Is there any chance I can get the "better" display back? I really don't like the yellow way of displaying white colors by the new display. I am pretty sure that it actually has been switched (I might have had an LG-branded one, but I am not sure). However, if AUO is typically installed in 8560w, are there any chances to complain about that???

    Many thanks for any suggestions!

It would be interesting to know what "something is not right with it" really means. Changing displays cost money so they must have a really good reason for doing so.

The other possibility is that they damaged the screen during the operation and they had to change it.

Well, it was in perfect shape when I was sending the notebook to the service guys. So either they broke it somehow, or there is some "emergency replacement" action indeed... Any clues are welcome!

Hello, may you tell me if yours is a backlit keyboard please? If yes Is there any icon on a particular key to detect it?

    Thank you.
