    Hi.

Will HP refresh the EliteBook series soon? Windows 8 + Ivy Bridge?

The new ish 8470p actually now has the new Windows 8 start logo on the keyboard and doesn't need additional drivers upon Windows 8 install so I suppose HP will eventually change 7 to 8.

    Hi.

    I'm from Portugal.

I can only find the EliteBook 8570p with Ivy Bridge dual core and Windows 7 (Windows 8 with a promotional price upgrade).
The specs are also very weak... I can only find models with 4GB RAM and HD displays :s There are cheap laptops with better hardware.

I need a business laptop, but want the best hardware of the moment. So, what I was asking if there will be new EliteBooks soon, already with Windows 8 Pro and quad core Ivy Bridge, and refreshed specs.

At least here I only have that.

    Ok, thanks.

I will look at other regional sites, and see what they have.
    Maybe start with Spain..

I think that these specs are only available in the US, and that's because you can build your custom EliteBook there, and upgrade the CPU, operative system, etc.

I can't find anything better in europe, even in the UK store.
In the UK the 8570p EliteBook is also only available with dual core Ivy Bridge and Windows 7 Pro 64.
And that's very weak for a professional laptop. I can get bet specs on most of ASUS, SAMSUNG (...) entry laptops.. :s

Well, need to look after something else then :\

Don't look on HP's official site, try amazon and such... or better yet, try and find someone who is HP's partner in your country.

If you want the best you need to look for the "w" models, and don't forget that you pay for better build quality, warranty and security features and you won't find those in entry laptops.
