Hello All,
I have a brand new Elitebook Folio 9470m, the latest version with SSD and 1600x900 HD+ resolution.
Apart from the screen, which has been reported on numerous occasions to be a piece of crap, the laptop itself is very well built and very attractive.
The upgrade-ability is one of the strongest points, and I'm waiting for a an mSATA 128GB card to arrive, in order to expand my current SSD capacity without recurring to external drives.
My question today is related with the SD Card reader on the unit, where I have tried, unsuccessfully, to put a Sandisk SDXC 64GB card, which would be perfect for certain types of storage... if only the machine would recognize it. IT DOES NOT, at least on my unit.
Has anybody out there been successful with this?
I can see that my unit has a JMICRON reader, and the two drivers installed in the system are marked as:
JMicron PCIe SD Host Controller: version 1.0.72.4 (7-31-2012)
JMicron SD-MMC Host Controller: version 1.0.72.4 (7-31-2012)
I believe that I have the latest drivers.
Any ideas from anyone?
thanks in advance,
Ricardo

If it happens to me to find answer to your question I will post it here, for the moment I am not an owner of the 9470m.

Hello All,
I just wanted to answer myself here.
I found the solution.
The SD Card reader does read SDXC without any problems. My card was faulty.
I am now using a Lexar 64Gb SDXC card that has been extremely reliable.
regards,
Ricardo
