I recently acquired a HP ProBook 4520s from a friend, looks like he had it connected to a network and used it completely wireless. I have never utilized a network or wireless, can I utilize my home cable DSL for internet service with it and if so, how do I set it up? I tried to plug it in but it won't get any connection and sometimes it reads invalid IP. This is the same connection I use for my desktop computer. I need help.

Did you perform a clean install of Windows when you got the laptop, or are you using it just as you received it?
