I found the brochure in Danish:
HP ProBook 5330m bærbar computer (Data sheet/4AA3-4362DAE.pdf)
I like the backlit keyboard, but the screen resolution is not good enough. -
I'm wondering what the battery life will be like?
-
HP Probook 5330M
It's a great looking laptop, that's for sure. -
It looks great, hands on:

hmmm...no usb3.0 ports?
-
sexy looking note book.. only wish they could put the slot loaded dvd drive like the macbooks

Hmm ... I wonder if the batteries for this thing are backwards compatible with the 5310m model?
-
I am liking this it is slim and looks cool. Was going to order the 6360b today but might just wait for this as it does not look bulky. I don’t mind it not having a DVD drive I've got an external. If it did have an external it would be thicker. They are trying to compete against the Macbook Air with this one. I hope it comes to the UK soon as they have just released the 6360b last week.
-
This thing is about a inch thick the macbook air is .1 inches to .68 inches at its thickest point. The 8550m is about the same size as the regular macbook pro which has a DVD drive. -
-
It's really nice looking, this is how the 8460p should look like including the backlit keyboard, which the big brother 8460p doesn't have....
-
Does the 5330m have a larger battery than just the 4-cell?
-
-
-
Looking at the rear of the thing it doesn't look like it'll have other battery options which is a DAMN shame. Would have been a perfect candidate for the Envy type slice batteries. oh well. I'll keep my Envy 13.
-
if it could last 5 hrs 30 mins for 4 cell battery, i can accept it. However, slim chance it gonna last that long for a 4 cell....unless HP has special technology
-
Full specs here, no other battery option:

Short review online.
Interesting that the reviewer states that a i7 process will be available. Probably a typo. -
Is 5330m only available in USA?
-
No trackpoint and 4 cell battery ruin what could have been a pretty decent ultraportable. We need a 13" inch elitebook!
-
i saw some of the sites show that there is a black 5330m...but in HP usa page only silver...hope to see a black one...

Well - maybe they will release one in the future when it goes beyond the US market if it is "successful" here.... Hope springs eternal and all that. -
-
I just ordered mine yesterday. HP UK are selling it said that it's due next week can't wait. I know that the battery and screen id an issue but it is portable and that's what I need push beats tech for my beats headphones.
-
Beats Audio in HP laptops is just marketing BS.
Maybe anybody knows who is manufacturer of SSD drive in this model? -

Hey guys, is there a 14-16" Probook with the Beats Audio and backlit keyboard options? The less than stellar audio and lack of backlit keyboard were the 2 things that kept me from buying a Probook before and now that I'm ready to replace my old HP zv6130, I'm trying to stay w/HP if possible. Otherwise, it's a Dell XPS 15 most likely. Stupid HP for dropping the backlit kb from the consumer line!
Thanks guys

In both reviews are the same keyboard issues
Will be interesting to read some reviews from real people in real life -
Just got my probook 5330m. Delivered to my work! I can't wait to get it fired up tonight!
I'll let you know what I think of it! -
@ staticplaya: can you post your config and impressions of the laptop (battery life, screen,...)
+ Does enyone know if I choose i3 over i5 will I gain any extra battery life? -
I've been thinking about getting this laptop, but some reviewers have raised concerns about the keyboard, especially the placement of the spacebar. Can anyone comment? It feels like not very many people bought this thing.
-
Not sure what they mean with regards to the placement of the spacebar? Looks normal to me

I'm thinking of the machine as an ENvy 13 replacement and although I'm going to take a massive battery hit (SSD & tweaked Envy 13 with slice) I might forgive the machine 'IF' the damn fan isn't always on.
I had a chance to use an 8640p for the weekend and that sucker was on all the time and although the fan wasn't super loud, the year being 2011, it really should stay off when the machine is sitting there at 0% cpu time.
Has anyone tried the machine yet? -
I am also wondering this; does the fan ever shut off? I gave my Probook 4330s to my girlfriend because the fan was always on, really annoying.
-
I have the i3 model here with me and yes, the fan does switch off (Mine is tweaked with an SSD)
I don't think it'll be the same case with the i5.

P.s. Don't buy a 6460b then with the i5 as that NEVER switches off -
Quick note: this thread is now the official owners lounge for the 5330m.
The thread title has been updated as a result. -
@excalibur1814: Thanks for the info, i really like the Probook series, quality and design wise so i think ill go for the 5330m with i3.
Hope it will be quiet with a ssd -
@excalibur1814: Do your i3 version have a socket for a 3g-card/sim slot?
-
Yes it does have the slot as I can see the usual gold sim connectors
-
bump for more results
-
the only thing that is preventing me from buying it is the lack of USB 3.0 which does not make sense since lower models have them now. Hopefully HP will fix this in a refresh. USB 3.0 will allow me to use fast storage as I am have been putting SSD in my laptops and they are expensive beyond 128GB
-
hi there, i dont know if anyone can help me. did anyone here swapped the display for a better one? if you did, wich model?
-
I got one for my girlfriend, it's very nice, great build quality, backlit keyboard and quiet
